Your welcome, glad to help. It is always so complicated ha ha. What your saying sounds about right, from what I remember the Finality you want is after registrar notation. But later when Augie is on she can explain better than me. And yeah everything comes with a fee but he should give you your papers with no charge, they owe you a final copy of everything. By the way just wondering how long did your anullment take? Jim.

i filed May 2010 and got the decision Feb. 21, 2011

Also do not forget when you get your nbi clearance, also get one with the aka married name and the before married name, otherwise at the interview you will be sent home with a 221g like my fiancee was. It is still delaying our case since the interview on july21, it took nearly 45 days for the additional nbi due her getting a hit on her married name and them having to do a complete background check. Still in limbo waiting for passport to be delivered to us.

Thanks, was just curious, I have seen them done in 3 months and some 5 years. It is crazy there.

yes it is...and i dont know wny?

MY OPIION....

i think the reason is though we have annulment here in our country, most of the Filipino so called conservative citizens and the church is against annulment to add the big amount involved with annulment (i payed mine 200 thousand pesos) so few couples can afford it especially few years ago...though lots are undergoin annulment now, its being a trend (hehehe)...I think it is still not as common as divorce in other countries...and so the court is treating it like a special case to look and investigate upon thoroughly, so it is taking too long (but mind you..it can go faster so long as you have the money to make it move faster --bribe---besides the money you payed your attorney...What can i say? Anything goes in the Philippines...:D

You must be talking about DS230. According to those who have been interviewed, it is not needed.

You just need DS 156, DS 156K, DS 157.

Just explain your previous marriage on the DS 156 and 156K. You can't provide a CENOMAR since you are "previously married" so a different certification from NSO, I forgot how it's exactly called, Certification of nullity of Marriage????

Where can I get the Certification of Nullity Marriage?

You've unearthed a 2-year-old thread.

*** Thread moved from K-1 Process forum to the Philippines regional forum and reported for possible closure as a zombie thread. ***

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
