My interview is Thursday, and since that is 2 days before I actually reach the 3yr requirement will they tell me that a decision cannot be made or do you think they might tell me then if approved. Any thoughts??

i don't think there is a general rule for that. While I was reading through different forums, I saw that some people get approved on the spot, some are not even allowed to get the interview and for some the decision is postponed. I think it all depends on the IO and the office. Please keep us informed.

Hi everyone,

Hope you're all doing well. Congrats to those getting updates in their cases and good luck to the ones with interview this week.

I am back to let you guys know that as Farid was driving to his interview he got a call from the local USCIS office to tell him that his interview was cancelled as he can't interview till on or after January 20th when he will complete his 3 yr requirement. So interview will be rescheduled and he must again wait for his letter. Shucks, Darnit, Dangit. :whistle:

So someone please delete the interview date on my timeline. Thanks guys. :thumbs:

Ohh, are you serious? Literally driving to his interview? Unbelievable, as only USCIS can do. Sorry. I sincerely, hope that he gets his interview schedule asap as they promised him. Would be nice if he gets a same day oath ceremony or very close to it. Good luck for you guys. I'll delete the cancel interview. Hoping to update the next one soon.

Now this has me scared, my interview is tomorrow that is 2 days before my 3yrs :crying:

I am getting things organized for tomorrow, trying to think what do I need to bring. Do I just bring what the yellow letter says or did those that already went bring more? Now the stressing has begun :bonk: :wacko:

I passed my interview on January 4, even though I did not reach my 5 years of residency.

My interview went well, I answered to all the test questions but at the end of the interview

the officer told me that she cannot take a decision right now because I didn't reach the 5-year residency.

She gave me the N-652 Form, and she checked :

"you passed the tests of english and US history and goverment ", and
"A decison Cannot be yet be made about your application" and she put a note that I have to wait until the date of my 5-year residency.

I can tell you one thing, if I had the choice I'd rather wait until I reach my 5-year residency before passing my interview

because all this waiting, what a stress !!
