What do you think of the Mayweather Ortiz fight? In my opinion Mayweather did nothing illegal in the ring, but it was an unfortunate ending to what could have turned out to be a good fight. Ortiz on the other hand brought the ending on himself by illegally head butting Mayweather.

After the fight Mayweather tore into Larry Merchant. That showed no class whatsoever and is typical Mayweather.

I really hope Manny Pacquio wins over Marquez and faces Mayweather for the last fight of Manny's career in 2012. Unlike Mayweather, Manny is a class act. I hope he leaves his sport at the top of his game. In my opinion he's an all time great.

I'm definitely not a Mayweather fan, so my opinion is biased, but that was just cheap. Not illegal, but cheap.

It was almost like professional wrestling with the ref not looking. Just bizarre.

I would say that Mayweather is tarnishing his reputation but he's already done that by ducking Pacquiao for so long.

I'm glad Mayweather won, so that it hopefully sets up the match with Manny. Ortiz got what was coming to him. And you're supposed to "protect yourselves at all times." As for tearing into Merchant, while it was a little overboard I was kind of laughing, because that guy always says some goofy crazy ####### and not many return it to him. So it was mixed blessing to me.

I think the fight b/t the 2 would be great. Manny's offensive skills are second to none, but Mayweather is a great counter puncher, better than Juan Manuel Marquez who despite getting knocked down 3 times against Manny in the first round, was able to use counter punching to get that fight to a draw.

I think that fight was totally fixed. There were no doubts that Mayweather was going to win. I mean, c'mon the referee says Fight and then looks away and Ortiz was all smiles after being beat with a cheap shot. IMO, boxing has been cheapened by greed and money. It's no longer a sport but rather a business. On the other hand, Manny is truly a class act.
