The visa will not be issued until the medical is complete and turned in.

Doing it after the interview may cause unnecessary delays

Good luck

You are not going to get the results of the exam immediately, so taking it a couple of hours before the interview is futile. CDJ is very strict, but easy to deal with if you follow the rules. If you don't, then delays. Better figure out how to do the exam when THEY request it,

Hi. You DO NOT need 2 be late 4 your interview. Its a good chance they will not allow you 2 proceed w/ interview. Concerning your medical not being available may delay their decision 2 approve visa. You can show them the appointment time & hope that gains favor. The best possible thing may be to reschedule interview. You have delay either way.

Why are you planning on being 1 hour late to your interview? Get to Ciudad Juarez two days before your interview, do the medical and then have your interview.

You will probably be at the medical building for at least three hours, and your results won't be ready until late afternoon. You will return to pick them up.

I understand not wanting to be in Juarez for a long time, but it's really fine in the embassy area.

If you don't take this seriously, they aren't going to either and you will not get the visa. If you need to, reschedule the interview and make a schedule that makes sense.. Do not go to the interview without having your medical done, and do not go to the interview an hour late. :bonk:

This is not an option at all. You can't be late to the interview.

You won't be able to have the interview unless you have done your biometrics and your medical results.

The medical results get done the same day. You just got to be there 1 day before the interview day, they are open from 6 am until 11 am, they ask you to comeback for the results that same day at 2 pm. You don't need to make an appointment for the medical. Only for the biometrics.

The day of the interview you have to go to another part of the consulate facility, there, they check you have done everything right.... I've heard of people that didn't have their biometrics done prior to the interview and they had to do it after the interview, but that delayed their VISA approval for several weeks, never heard of someone that had their medical done after the interview though O__O

BOING Why do you always have something to say about Ciudad Juarez? Have you been? Hundreds of thousands of people have gone through Jaurez for visas and it's been ok... you never have any real helpful information for us all you do is fear monger. I can't speak for the others, but I know that I don't appreciate it.

I'm with you niko--boing isn't the only one, but his avatar says it all, and since he is by his own words Bored Of Education, I guess stirring the pot gives him a little excitement in his self proclaimed boredom.

** THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR THE FEEDBACK **

Already had my biometrics done and medical check is next before the interview.

Not really want to have medical check "after" the interview or have to change the interview date...

But consider this:

-- interview is on Monday (early AM)

-- the medical office is closed on weekend (open only from 6 to 11 am, Mon-Fri)

-- only 2 flights from TJ to CJS (all arrives AFTER 11am)..

So, long story short:

- i have to arrive on Thursday (for Friday 6-11am medical exam)

- wait in Ciudad over the weekend for Monday AM interview (going home for the weekend would be expensive)

- flight home on Tuesday AM

As you can see.. Almost a week in Ciudad Juarez!! Oh my god!

But if i can find way to change the interview date to midweek, it would save me tons of time & money too.

HAS ANYONE MADE CHANGE TO THEIR INTERVIEW APPT?

The hotels near the embassy are not expensive, and while 4 - 5 nights in CDJ is more than you would like, it isn't a deal breaker. They will send your visa by DHL anywhere you want it, so you can head home right after the interview. You might want to think about this from a different perspective: this is probably the biggest deal in your adult life, and it is sitting right in front of you--all you have to do is grab it and within a week or so, your life is chenged forever.

From what I understand, you can change your interview appointment online. Why don't you schedule the interview for Tuesday morning? Then fly into CDJ on Sunday, have your medical on Monday, and interview on Tuesday and leave by Tuesday afternoon or Wednesday?

WHERE CAN I CHANGE THE INTERVIEW APPT. ONLINE? THE ONLY ONE I KNOWN OF IS FOR BIOMETRICS APPT (AT ACS) AT YOUR NEAREST HOMETOWN.

QUALITY INN HOTEL AT CJS CLOSED TO US CONSULATE & MEDICAL EXAM?
