Okay, I have some questions...I've been reading all the other threads pertaining to this and my exact questions haven't come up yet, so here goes it...

1.) I have a co-sponsor. They're my best friend's parents. Do they fill the paperwork out together, or should it just be her father completing the information?

2.) Number 2 on the I-134 says I am ___ years old and have resided in the US since _____. My question is- my permenant address has always been here in the states. I did live in The Netherlands from July 08-Dec. 10 so should I put on there that I have been living in the US since December 2010 then? I'm just a little confused by that one.

3.) The next question is in regards to part 7 on the I-134. I don't have a savings account, just checking. So do I put 0 on the first line? Should I open a savings account? When it asks about personal property, I own a car, and personal property, like the stuff in my house. Do I list an amount like 10,000 on that line? Or do they just want to know about the car? I have no stocks and bonds (will this affect me?). I do have life insurance, but I don't know what they mean by cash surrender value.

4.) I saw in another thread somebody included a photocopy of their car title. Is that helpful in any way?

5.) I don't have tax returns for the last three years. When I worked in The Netherlands I had to file through the Dutch system, and I believe I ended up having to pay social security, but my employers paid that on my behalf. I don't have any W-2's from the last three years. Should I include a letter stating this situation?

6.) From what I've gathered I will need three months of bank statements, a letter from my employer, a letter from my bank, and three pay stubs. Does all the same go for my co-sponsor?

Thank you for your time! :)

2) I was in a similar situation - spent the last 3 years in London, I wrote my age and then birth - 11.26.07, 02.05.11 - present

3) Since you are using a co-sponsor and not using your assets to make up for the income shortfall, no need to complete information about your savings accounts, cars, property, etc. Leave blank.

4) Since you're not using assets, nope.

5) Even though you earned foreign income, you should file tax returns. You file them as foreign income earned abroad, which is tax-free (for the most part, unless you earned a high amount... I don't have the exact figure, as I didn't exceed it) You should have gotten an end-of-year statement or something similar from your employer in Holland and then you can use it to file US taxes.

6) What you need for you depends on your specific embassy but usually two of the following will suffice: recent pay stubs and/or letter from employer and tax transcripts. Your co-sponsor will need to provide the same.

It looks like you are working now and may have suitable income? (just based on that you're providing pay stubs, etc...) Is there a reason you're using a co-sponsor?

I am working now, but making $9 an hour unfortunately doesn't cut it for the income requirements, I don't think...

When I was in Holland, I worked as a nanny, I guess I'll have to contact the family I worked for to get the tax information?

Egh... I'm not 100% sure how it works when it comes to nannying.. it depends if the family paid taxes from your wages, etc. It's tricky - I know a lot of individuals who are nannies tend to get cash-in-hand or just cheques w/o taxes having comes out :-/

I paid taxes to the dutch government. I know that I had to pay social security to the US. I never got any paperwork on it though. My employers handled it all. I'm just wondering now if I need to include proof of that?

Okay, my employers are going to be sending me the documents regarding my tax information from the last two years. My newest question, I don't know why I was thinking I didn't meet the Poverty requirements, I had some questions about that if anyone would be so helpful. :)

What I found on uscis is the I-864P. It says the sponsor's household size of 2 (me and my fiance) and the income has to be $14,710. I make roughly $17,280 before taxes. This is for 100% of povery guidelines. Is that what is used for the K1 visa? And is that before or after taxes? This then leads me to ask- would you use a co-sponsor if you were only that much over the guideline? I can list my car as well for personal assets. Is this a better safe then sorry situation and should I just use the co-sponsor anyway? Any advice would be very appreciated.

Thanks!! :D

Typically in support of a K visa petition the 125% income amount is used. For a household of 2 that amount is $18,387. For a wage/salary earner the gross (before tax) earnings are typically used.

Your primary vehicle cannot be used as an asset because having to liquidate it would be seen to cause undue harm to the sponsor.
