I am a US Citizen & want to apply for my brother. Our father is here but is not yet a US Citizen. Would it be faster to apply for my brother if our father did it after obtaining his citizenship or should I apply? And also, he's married with kids so I assume that will play a part as well. Thanks for the help.

Applying for a parent or child visa is considerably faster than that for a sibling. If your Dad is close to getting his citizenship, it would be a better option for him to file for your brother and his family. I don't claim to know much beyond that, but there are GUIDES at the top of the page that go into much greater detail about priority dates and when the application can be put in. These guides are excellent, written by fellow VJ members who have been through the whole experience already. Make use of their knowledge and ask additional questions if you need. :)

currently, it is more or less the same, 10 or more years. It can be more because your father first has to become a USC

so I'd say both of you apply, one never know what can happen in the future.

A married son or daughter would not qualify for a "child" visa. A married son or daughter would qualify for a family preference visa, just like a sibling. Aleful is correct - the difference between the current cutoff dates for an F3 (married son or daughter of a US citizen) and F4 (sibling of a US citizen) are pretty close right now, with the F3 being a little over a year ahead. When you add the amount of time it will take for Dad to get his US citizenship then they're probably about the same. Since nobody knows what's going to happen to the cutoff dates in the future, aleful's suggestion that they both submit petitions (Dad can do so when he's a USC) is good advice.
