DCF is still a choice?

Hi everyone,

I had thought I wanted a K-1 visa but it appears that because of our situation I was wrong. My fiance and I both live outside the US. I'm wondering if we should go ahead and get married and then file for a visa through DCF. We had considered that since it seemed the best and simplest option but had ruled it out because I seem to remember reading that this option is going away soon. Am I remembering correctly? Can anyone help?

02/09/2012 NOA1- case sent to VSC!

07/09/2012 NOA2

07/11/2012 case received at NVC

07/27/2012 NVC case number and IIN received

It depends on where you live and if they have a USCIS office there. If they do then you can DCF if not then you send your petition to the regular lockbox address.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

The closest consulate is not in the country where we live but according to the web site, the Barbados consulate (our closest) does process I-130 forms so it should be good. We aren't married yet so it will take a little while if we decide to go ahead and do that. No word that DCF is being cancelled?

As I said it depends if they have a USCIS office there. DCF is CLOSED august 14th. But for some countrys its not going to close because they have USCIS offices.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.
