Remind me to bump this for you a few years down the road. Half of our debt by 2019 will be Bush Era Tax Cuts and the Wars. The GOP will probably have full control of the house, senate, and white house by NOV 12 so you barely got a year of saying it is Obama's fault. Soon you'll have to say it's Romney's fault. In reality the GOP are huge spenders with a combination of raking in small revenues (at least the Dems have the revenue part right)...

The consequences of these thirty years of increased inequality are important to understanding today’s situation."

Now who's being naive? The Republican party is a slave to the whims of these delusional individuals whose mantra is cut taxes, cut spending in order to take back the government. In effect they end up signing more of there paycheck over to the wealthy and blame it on overspending, etc. It's downright silly but why let logic intrude on the fantasy.

The government has played a pivotal role in the rise of the middle class over the last few decades and the plutocrats want to dismantle that. The existence of a middle class in this country has led ordinary people to expect crazy things like a house and a car and a smartphone and a college education for their kids. The plutocrats want to end that so they can compete with countries like Brazil and India.
