Ok, I just went back and read the NOA2 letter and it says that they forward my petition to the Consulate... they didn't put the name of the Consulate below...so i guess there is only one in Lagos...I also thought i need a case number. I just called NVC and told them what the letter say and they told me to contact the USCIS... I called them and spoke with a Tier 2 officer... she was confused... she told me to call the DOS and it could take 60 days for it to get to the Lagos Consulate...well the approval notice expires 11/7/11... now DOS is closed now...so I just email the Lagos State email address to ask them....Can someone help me with this? What should I do?

You call NVC. You ask them if they have gotten your case yet. You ask for your case number if they have gotten it yet. Then ask if it has been sent to the embassy yet.

You got into this mess by asking about a letter not asking about the case. You need to ask specific questions about your case only or they will keep telling you to call someone else.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

It is possible that NVC has not received your case yet. It seems to be taking 3-4 weeks after receiving NOA2. You can always call them or email them with your NOA2 number, your full name and date of birth and fiance's full name and date of birth and ask if your case has been received yet. If they have your case, they can give you the new case number. Then you can call DOS to see if it was received at the embassy yet. Good luck! You should know something soon!

I waited 31 days to get the case # from NVC. Be patient and give them a call every single day. Your fiancée will be contacted by the embassy through the contact information you provide on the original petition. Meantime NVC also will send you a letter to inform you they sent the petition to the embassy.

Good luck
