Wow crossing deserts, climbing mountains and swimming the pacific is quite a feat when you are 8 years pregnant! Have you contacted the Guiness Book of World Records cause that must be a world record! Oh what we go through for our partners!

Don't understand about the vacation part. A vacation is not at all a vacation if you end up missing out on getting the K1 process done, to be together permanently. Don't know whether a copy of the NOA2 is officially required for the interview, probably not, but I would definitely send a copy of it to my fiance before the interview.

could I whine too cuz its hard for me everytime I get off with my wife on yahoo she starts crying :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying:

Okay, first of all, when a man gets off, it's either polite to make sure she gets off too, or to thank her. Did you try either of those two options? And she's still crying? Maybe you'd better save it for marriage then, or ask her why it brings her to tears....

as for the vacation, he will be here on Oct. 2 til Jan. 14, 2012. My worry is if no NOA2 til Oct 2, it's either cancel the vacation or go to interview w/o it but if I don't have the hard copy of NOA2, might it'll put me to AP or my visa will be rejected because I read on the k1 guide, the NOA2 hard copy should be sent to the fiance/fiancee for interview, otherwise no problem at all.......aaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh! :(( :(( :(( why we can't always get what we want....:((

Its quite likely that you will have your NOA2 before start of October. NVC will only send out to the consulate based on your NOA2. So I mean they have to know at the consulate that you received it otherwise they would not even be talking to you or sending you packet 3.

Ask others who did their interview whether they were even asked to show a copy of their NOA2. Of course you should have it just in case but I hardly think its likely that you get put on AP for not having it.

But if it ends up that way I mean wouldn't it be worth it to delay his vacation for the month or so until you get the NOA2?

hehe, the NOA2 does nothing for the embassy. Can't even interview with it. All the NOA2 does is let you get your medical exam done. You CAN take your medical exam with the NOA2. You need the packet to go to NVC, then NVC send to Embassy. The NVC will assign a MNL case number. Once you have this case number, you can pay the fee at any BPI branch. Once the Embassy receives and enters the Application (this is about a week after the embassy receives it.) You can schedule your interview. Generally you can get into embassy from 1 week to 1 month.

The NVC used to be fast. Now, things have slowed down. If he has the NOA2 before going there, chances are you could finish while he is there. I just want my MNL case number.... I want my fiancee here with me... eating pizza alone is no fun......

my biggest whine.... you FINALLY get your NOA2. You have 4 months to schedule the interview... 16 weeks. (unless the consulate in their infinite wisdom allow an extension.) It takes 30 days for NVC processing.... that is 4 weeks gone. Then another 2 weeks for the embassy to process. Now you are 6 weeks into you 16 weeks. (almost halfway) You have 10 left to schedule an interview. If you are lucky, you can get an interview in 4 weeks. This gives you 8 weeks wiggle room. And don't forget, if you are doing medical at the same time, you have to take your fiancee's cycle  into account for the scheduling. (Those with male beneficiary's don't have to worry about this part as well.) If you take the cycle's into account, you are suddenly down to 6 maybe 7 weeks out of the 10 for possible interview dates. (each cycle you lose up to 2 weeks, cycle plus 1 week) :crying: :crying: :crying: oh the insanity.....and you cannot do medical until you have an NOA2 or the embassy appointment letter.... :diablo: :diablo:

I cannot stand being away from my man, I'm not waiting too long to see him I know but I'm almost dependent of his love that it makes too hard to be apart. I wish NVC could be smooth on us, and to many others here waiting, because I miss him like mad this month. We just sign off of skype has a couple minutes and every time we do that, it breaks my heart not being able to see his face until the next day... I want to be there, to wait for him to come home, to make him dinner, to ask about his day, take care of his injuries if he has any, to hug and cuddle, to be goofy watching a movie, to go sleep right beside him and whisper that I love him before falling asleep. I wanna be his wife, that's all. I know others could be hurting more than me, and I feel for them too... but I'm the only one who knows what I'm missing. :(

Totally perfect quote!! (L) I feel just this way, it's unbearable!! All I want to do is marry him and be together again, unfortunately I'm an idiot who picked a foreign boy and thought it would be a reasonable process (as if I had a choice, he's my soulmate, don't get me wrong!), so now I have to ask the government's permission. The least they can do is be efficient, treat us all with some respect. I sometimes think, how long would it take people to rebel if EVERY young engaged couple had to do what we do, had to wade through government forms and bureaucratic nonsense. PROVE to me that you are financially soluable. Haha yeah right, have you ever been 22?? I'm just trying to land a job. Luckily my parents are 100% on my side, or I wouldn't be able to marry him (yes I am back in the 1800s, please daddy can I marry him). Hopefully by the time we start the AOS process, I'll be financially independant. Phew okay rant over :P Just, dammmmnnnnnnn. Thanks VJers, we'd be lost without you!!!
