US POE Dallas

Hello

Well im about to start packing and preparing for the long trip :-) So i was wondering about the POE and what happens there. I read here that can be some mistakes done at the entry, so i would appreciate any suggestion you may have for me to avoid it if possible.

My POE will be Dallas :-)

Im also bringing our wedding rings so i wonder if i need to declare them at the entry or not? And if so, how should i do it?

Make sure you have all your paperwork together, answer any questions and be patient. Custom officers vary and some may be easier, while others are more difficult to deal with. It is not necessary that you declare your wedding rings or other jewelry unless the value is quite significant. Be polite and respectful, even if the customs officer is not. Everything will go much smoother for you.

I hope your SO will be waiting when you finally emerge from the ordeal.
