my husband was legal PR but he abandoned his status in 2010 and went back to his home country , ha has valid SS# , now that we got married i applied for him but he entered illegaly , the petetion is still pending so my question is can he get a DL in california without a green card? he has valid S# and expired ID card from last year . thank you

So therefore he is in this country illegally.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

I doubt it, but stranger things have happened.

Did he surrender his GC? Regarding the DL, that's a question best directed to the DMV.

Entering without inspection is going to be your biggest problem. He will likely not be able to adjust status.
