Out of status- Seeking divorce in Georgia

I'm trying to help a friend. He is out of status, and would like to divorce his wife (Caribbean). She has agreed to sign, notarize and mail all documents to him in the United States. His concern is that the court will notice that his visa has expired. Does anyone have any experience with divorcing a spouse outside of the US? He lives in Georgia. His soon-to-be ex wife resides in Jamaica. Please advise.

The wife can only obtain the divorce in Jamaica, because this is where she is living. So why would Jamaica be concern about his status in the US. Your question is will the court notice that his visa has expired. What court are you talking about??????
