You don't put what country. What you applied for. No one can help you without knowing what visa you need.

Today was my interview. I was not approved nor declined. This was interesting to me. Instead I am still pending. They told me I must send more proof via aramex to washington and so forth and then I will have my definite answer. Has anyone experienced this before?

Moscow did the same to us. Her interview was on a Thursday. By Sunday I had a 10 lb. box being sent via FedEx with ton's more evidence (just more of what I had sent for the interview) plus emailed 5 emails with attachments (a selection of what I had sent in the box) and added a three page description of the development of our relationship and how the evidence showed how it progressed.

By the following Tuesday, I received an email stating their visas were approved (before the FedEx box arrived).

My evidence book was 12 pounds and about 4 1/2 " thick.

If youre going to do this process without the help of a lawyer, you really really need to read everything here.

A lawyer wouldn't have made any difference in our case; I purposefully sent just capsule summary type of evidence to her for the interview as that was what was being used for other interviews at the time. My wife just lucked out having the smiling but strict woman CO that terrorized the Moscow Embassy around the period of our interview. They approved all promptly, without questions, when they received my emails with attachments and letter describing the transition of our relationship.

They did keep her passport, which in and of itself, was an indication that all would be approved.
