Ok...I just searched the forums and it says that my 7 year old son doesn't need to do Bio? But they still take the fee? I could swear he did Bio last time? or is the AOS photo on his greencard a photo I supplied with App? I totally forget now it's been so long lol...

I could swear that they took his pic at that office? And some people state they have rec'd Bio notices for kids under 14, but others told them it was an error? Now I am super confused... I guess I just show up with my bio notice, our extension letters and my kid in tow just in case lol...

If they took a bio fee for him, what is it used for? lol... and will they re-use his old picture for his new 10 year card? But we have to take new pics right?

So can't recall... my how I used to be a VJ immigration pro and now...it's all a faint memory lol

if we can limit the number of times per day that the master list is updated, it would be nice. i think that a LOT of people are updating and there seem to be some oversights. i think that happyinlove checks in several times a day, so maybe you could be nominated to be the updater (once per day would be GREAT!). and if all of that day's updates could be combined into ONE update, that would be superb.

if this is something no one else wants to do, i can do it. i check in very frequently and would be more than happy.

or if everyone is happy with the current situation, we can leave it that way, but i find it adds a lot of extra posts and i end up scrolling through a lot of superfluous stuff.

having said all of that, things will calm down once everyone has gotten their bio appointments done and then we wait for the next step.

xx.

ps i started a thread in the forum dedicated to the board itself about enabling column in out signatures. i hate that mine is so long because i know you have to scroll by it each time i post. id rather use the horizontal space and keep it shorter. just fyi or if you wanted to add your 2 cents to the discussion.

Please make sure to reply to the most recent timeline post when making changes so that info isn't deleted. Looks like the last few updates have lost my info... not sure about anyone else's.

Also questions get ignored... I've posted my question twice with no response.

Guys, question about walk ins with the bio appointment... I just found out our scheduled appointment is at the downtown office instead of our local one and its at 8:00 AM. If we tried to get there by 8:00 AM on that day we'd have to leave the house like 2 hours early and my hubby has ulcerative colitis so we can't just sit in traffic for 2 hours without a bathroom nearby.

So, if we go in early do we have to be there at 8:00 AM? And do we have to go to the same office that our appointment is scheduled at?

I think your idea of updating the timeline once a day is excellent. That will definitely eliminate the multiple "update" posts and the "all messed up list" would be less. ;)

I suppose we should elect one of us July filers to be our "updater"? :P Unless we want to leave the "job" to Yurika & Jim...? :P

Has everyone whose checks have been cashed recieved a NOA hard copy? I am still waiting, I would feel more comfortable with the 1 year extension letter in hand.

No, you don't have to be there at 8AM. Best time to go in is in the afternoon. Try to get there at around 2PM and you'll be in and out in less than 30 minutes at the latest.

Good Luck!

I received my NOA in the mail a day after they cashed the check.

Just give it a few more days and you'll receive yours, soon.

Hello,

Please remove me (Scott_S) from the July filers.

I mistakenly sent the application early without realizing that the check I enclosed was dated August 3rd.

They sent the whole thing back to me (rather than just waiting 3 days to cash it!)

Oh well. I'll add myself to the August list later today.

Cheers!

Thanks for the info. This kind of helps...but I now do recall that my son did get a Bio notice for AOS and did a photo and thumbprint. This time, no notice for ROC... Hmmm...not sure if they don't redo it for ROC or if I should have gotten a notice and didn't? Maybe I'll try posting my question as I have found only AOS related stuff and little ROC.... thanks :)
