Process Change at NVC for I-864?

I had posted in this topic, last week - http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/313427-aos/

then looked at the state.gov web page - it slams on about submitting the I-864 electronically .

I was a bit stumped, thinking the OP had gotten to that page by looking at the NVC Electronic Processing Page, then clicking some link from there into the I-864 for EP.

I backed up a bit, went into the VISA section, then straight to the Affadavit of Support link (no EP mentioned for the VISA SECTION) and it brought me to the same page. Linkage :

So, whaddya you guys think? Is site error on linkage, showing electronic intake for the I-864?

Or has NVC actually changed it's process, to allow anyone to send in the I-864 electronically ?

I do see their 'logic blocks' there, but...

Perhaps I've missed a memo ?

Darnell, are you talking about the part on http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3197.html where it says

"5. Scan the I-864 to Portable Document Format (PDF) and send it as an e-mail attachment toNVCElectronic@state.gov. Sending physical documents to the NVC will delay the processing of your case. When sending completed forms to the NVC do not include instruction pages or any other sheets which do not carry information you entered while completing the form."

???

If that's what you're referencing, then you have to look at the step right before that states:

"4. Attach the bar code sheet and mail them to the NVC unless you have joined the E-Mail Electronic Processing program, then… "

I copied and pasted from the last box in reference to the I-864, but all the boxes say the same thing.

NVC is just saying that you mail the form unless you're eligible and signed up for EP in which you then email the form.

ya, I'm seeing all of that. FWIW, it's not the same wording from last week.

Thanks for looking at it ! Logic Blocks, when written like that, drive me nuts - I wind up doing logic block diagrams on the english, waste much paper and pencil.

The wording was different last week? Do you remember what it said?

And yeah, I think NVC should change the wording on that page completely, cause people just see the last step about emailing it in, but don't realise they have to be from an eligible country first.

geez - they changed it up again. Less logic bombs, but I think still not done by native english speaker.. or maybe there was an intern involved for creating the template to use for this page. grrr
