Ohh, good question! I have not done any paid work here but I do volunteer a lot. I would assume it doesn't count as it isn't paid/ taxable work but I am not sure.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

Wife did volunteer work for such sinister organizations such as the American Red Cross, Heart Association, and the United Way and to do so, had to join those organizations.

Those were all listed on the organizations you are/were a member of. Employment for those organizations was left blank as at that time, wasn't permitted to be employed until she receiver her green card. Employment means getting paid for your work with FICA and tax deductions and getting a W-2. Unless you sell drugs or are in prostitution, don't have to bother with all that stuff, but that wouldn't look good on your N-400
