Hello everybody,

This is Sabit,from Bangladesh. I've been visiting this site for a long time but just became a member.

My wife had applied for my CR1 which was sent to Vermont back in December 2010 and got my

NOA2 last week and starting our NVC process.Now I had lived in the US since Jan 2000 till

Oct 2010, went as a 18 years old and came back as 29,was on F1 for undergrad and graduate

school and also worked for over 3 years and came back to get married to a USC and decided to

do the CR1 from here since I haven't been home for over 7.5 years.

Now I heard at the interview day, the consulate takes fingerprints.Now I do have a fingerprint

FIN number and also Social Sec. and also an A number.Do they need to take the Fingerprint again

at the interview day over here in the US consulate?

Need to know that. And also since most of my information with USCIS and DHeS is updated, will

it take shorter time for NVC to process the application?I also got a FBI name check clearence before

I came back. And I heard for people with a valid Social Security Number there is no AP / AR for immigrant

visa...is this true?

Any information will be very helpful..thank you :)

Filing based on 3yrs/USC Spouse. 3 year residency anniversary is in August 2014. Filed immediately after the 90-day early filing mark (May 2014)


05/06/2014 - Mailed N-400

05/15/2014 - Check cashed

05/12/2014 - NOA Date

06/11/2014 - Biometrics Appointment

09/15/2014 - Inline for interview scheduling (was stuck in "Initial Review" for over 3 months!)

10/27/2014 - Scheduled for interview

12/01/2014 - Interview

12/19/2014 - I AM A US CITIZEN!

Yes your fingerprints will be taken at the embassy for upon your arrival at poe they could make sure you where the actual person the visa was given. If i made an error please anyone correct me please hope this helps...

Why is this an issue--fingerprints are taken several times along the way

I wondered this as well...but did not bring it up. Just answered the question...lol
