Ok I am looking way way ahead but couldn't help imagining the day I will welcome my SO to the U.S. So with that said, is the POE determined by the individual or by the embassy, I've seen POE's on here ranging from Hawaii to Maine.

03/17/2011----->I-129F mailed to Lewisville TX

03/21/2011----->Package delivered, signed by CATES

03/25/2011----->NOA1 received via text &email @ 1:15am

(Case transfered to Vermont)

03/29/2011----->NOA1 hardcopy received dated 3/23/11

03/29/2011----->TOUCHED

07/05/2011-----> NOA2 received via text & email

07/07/2011-----> NOA2 hardcopy receive dated 7/05/11

07/18/2011----->Package left NVC for Nigeria

07/25/2011-----> NVC hardcopy case number received dated 07/08/11

10/14/2011-----> Interview date-------APPROVED!!!!!! :)

10/21/2011----->VISA IN HAND ....Doxology :)

01/14/2012----->Arrival via Chicago

01/28/2012----->Married

03/28/2012----->AOE/EAD/AP filed

04/04/2012----->NOA1 received

04/27/2012----->Biometrics appointment

Your POE is wherever is most convenient for you and your SO. What I did was look for the cheapest ticket and that determined my fiance's POE. If the cheapest ticket takes your SO through a POE that tends to have a high level of harassment, look for a ticket with a different POE. POE is determined by the plane ticket you buy : ) It just refers to your US entry. If you go to Chicago but have to transfer in Atlanta prior to Chicago, then your POE is Atlanta.

K1 process, October 2010 > POE, July 2011

I-129F approved in 180 days from NOA1 date. (195 days from filing to NOA2 in hand)

Interview took 224 days from I-129F NOA1 date. (241 days from filing petition until visa in hand)

From filing I-129F petition until POE: 285 days

AOS process, December 2011 > July 2012

EAD/AP Approval took 51 days from NOA1 date to email update. (77 days from filing until EAD/AP in hand)

AOS Approval took 206 days from NOA1 date to email update. (231 days from filing until greencard in hand)

From filing I-129F petition until greencard in hand: 655 days

:thumbs: When the time comes for the Point of Entry, you will be the one who determines with the purchase of the ticket where your Fiance/ wife will enter from, this being the closest international airport to where you live.

With the way things move with Nigeria though bro, be ready for the snail to deliver her to you instead...LOL :rofl: a little humor as to how things move over there. :whistle:

Not to sound like a nit-picker but it is Port of Entry (not point of entry); they come in three flavors; Land, Sea and Air. :D
