Hi everyone! :) My Fiance has not filed income tax returns yet for 2010 (at the moment) but for 2009, 2008, 2007 and so on are Okay. He's making over the income requirements though.

Since 2010 ITR is not ready yet, can we support it with certificate of employment and photocopies of paychecks ? or will this pose a possible problem?

Thank you all in advance for the replies. May God bless us all in this journey.

Can use the last 3 years ITR as supporting evidence, but you will need current copy of ITR or transcript.

Thanks for the reply. Sure, he will be filing later part of the year yet. Consequently, we cannot proceed to the next step or interview as yet without the updated ITR, right? What do you think the allowed period or duration (# of months) if we opted to delay my interview? Will the month of September or October still possible for interview ? What about the expiration of medical results? How about the approved petition, will it be expired? I'm so sorry for asking too many questions. My Fiance is also not knowledgeable on the process. I am also thinking of delaying our timeline since I am not ready to leave work as yet. Just didn't expect our NOA2 to came out quickly. I hope to leave sometime in November or December yet in case I get visa -- God's will.

Hope anyone could be of help to us so we can make our timeline or schedule realistic in consideration of the information above.

Thank you so much and God bless ! :D(F)

Hello New1, I noticed your timeline is very specific. How did you know that your NOA2 has been received / left NVC on a particular date ? Just curious if what is happening to our NOA2 ? Since we checked at USCIS website of its approval on May 23, until now my Fiance didn't receive any hard copy nor even email or text message. How would the process takes place after NOA2? Thanks again for any reply.

hi, we called and emailed NVC, persistent  when you call them, make sure to ask when they received it..and if they said it already left for your consulate, ask them when they sent it:) after a few days, you call or email your consulate if they have your case file already :) they will also tell you when they received the electronic file and the hardcopy of your i129f package from NVC

and btw, if you were approved may 23, should try calling for your case number already..should already receive the NOA2 hardcopy by now too :)

If you plan to interview several months from now, you can call or email the Embassy and tell them that you are still pursuing the K-1 visa and you plan to interview this coming fall. The Embassy will have no problem granting you an extension of your NOA2. They just want to know whether you are still working toward your visa.

You can complete your medical just before your interview, then you won't have to worry about the expiration date. I can't remember, but I think the medical results are good for either six months or a year.

Best wishes on the rest of your journey! :star:
