; 7 months waiting for NOA2

; Hi VJ friends!!

I'm hitting my 7 month mark since I received my NOA1 (October 28th,2010).

Aaron and I called USCIS and they put in a Service Request on April 27th, 2011.

Although we called them a couple of times after our we put in a SR, all they could tell is, is that we have to wait 30 days for them to process our case and make -hopefully- a decision.

I'm getting more scared, if possible. Because.... the 30 days are almost over (only 2 more days to go), and we haven't received any kind of notice or NOA2.

My question is, if the 30 days are over -this Friday-, what will happen next? I know Aaron&I have to call them. But what kind of steps are they going to make????

Has anyone been in the same position, and what did they tell you when you called after your 30 days of SR was over??

I am soooo afraid they will tell me "denied" or anything. 7 months waiting since NOA1 is very stressful, and I am scared what their answer will be, and curious what the next step will be..

Does anyone have an answer what might will happen????

Have you tried to put in an expedite because you are out of normal processing times? Call in and speak to tier 2 and tell them you want to put it an expedite request.

; yeah!! I'm going to wait until Aaron is going back from work today. And then we are going to call them..

He'll tell them that we don't want to wait til Friday, because the weekend will delay it for a couple of days before an expedite will be processed. It's worth a try.

We called them on our 6 month mark, why didn't they ask if we want to put an expedite concern our case? Instead they asked if we want to put in a Service Request... " now that doesn't make sense.....

They never ask even if you clearly fall under a criteria lol. Have him call today and tell them to do it! Make sure they log in under the correct reason (Out of normal processing time). If you have any questions run a search on here because a few other people have been successful at it lately!

I am sooo sorry that you are still waiting! You must have him contact USCIS and ask for an expedite request since you are out of normal processing time. Don't wait until the 27th. Call now! Remember, VSC is closed on weekends, and Monday is a holiday here in the US. I pray that you get your NOA2 really soon! Don't give up hope. Try to remain positive. Many people have had extended delays, and then have received their NOA2 without even an RFE. It's coming. Keep us posted!

Like others said, request expedite for ONPT (outside of normal processing time). That is probably what will happen if you call back after the thirty days anyway. I think when you put in an expedite they have 7 days to make a decision on your case, I THINK.

I really pray for you and PRAY at that point they don't give you an RFE or some kind of other ridiculousness to buy themselves time.

I am scared because I have heard nothing this week and only have Thursday and Friday left to hope for before the loooooooooong weekend

I had my Congressman and both my Senators involved .As soon as I hit the 5 mth mark -they were looking into my case for me .At the 6 mth mark --they had my case expedited based on ONPT. I was approved 1 wk after the 6 mth mark . If after friday --i suggest you contact an immigration laywer . You and Monefyr may be the only ones left for Oct filers . I am rooting for u .
