Hi All,

I need to know if I can Sponsor my friend who doesn't meet the poverty level. I am not related to either one, just friends. If I am able to sponsor my friend, which form do I fill out? I also need to know if they combine both our income or will they only rely on my income?

I sponsored my husband back in 2006. Will this be a factor and how is the income determined (by my household # and petitoner's spouse)? My children are now adults, but my daughter is in college who depends on my income for federal aid.

you'll need to file the i864 as joint sponsor.

your husband is part of your household and any child who is in your taxes.

you can't combine your income with the petitioner.
