I just got a checklist letter saying my AOS hasn't been received. I mailed it overnight several weeks ago, and the USPS tracking information shows that it was delivered to NVC on May 9th. They do have the IV packet and have started reviewing that, but I don't understand why they say they haven't received the AOS yet when it was clearly delivered there. Is this a false RFE? Should I try sending it in over again?

Give it a little time thats a false RFE I almost panicked too i got emails everyday for my AOS but it took about a week for it to catch up in the system to the ds 230 even tho i sent them at the same time. then about a week after it finally caught up we had our case closed and interview scheduled....good luck...

but you do need to call them often and be sure your updated with your case ;)

Thanks! I'll give them a call or three next week to find out if they've entered it into their system yet. I guess I just needed some reassurance that NVC isn't completely incompetent. :bonk:

Totally understandable :) it shouldn't be too long now but there are some ppl who never call to see whats going on but if your calling frequently if an RFE is issued a real one you can be on top of it etc...in the Visa process you have to be proactive not reactive as you well know

Hello americaandnorway,

Let me guess, you probably sent the AOS first and after few days the IV package in a separate mail?

I did the same and I ended up hearing the status on the automated message that an list has been sent to me. So I called NVC and ended up talking to a lady who knew what I was asking (unlike the USCIS folks). When I asked her if she can tell me what the mail was all about, she told me that they didn't receive the IV package yet. When I told her that I mailed it few days after, she assured me that it's probably in the queue and once they get it, it will be just fine once they receive it and I should just ignore the RFE. I mean I was in a panic too as it contains all the originals..... Few days later, I did hear the automated message was changed. So just call NVC and hope you will have similar experience like mine.

Good luck ;);)

We are going through the same thing right now....I mailed both AOS and IV documents together on May 13, got postal confirmation that they were delivered May 16th then on the 20th automated system said a letter had been sent for missing or additional info needed....I almost freaked too , but remembering posts similar to this one I calmed and convinced myself it was a false RFE...spoke to NVC operator yesterday who confirmed this, today we got the email checklist which of course is requesting the AOS and IV package...so I will just continue calling everyday and waiting patiently....it is a little frustrating though :bonk:

I mailed them on the same day. Guess they found it though, since the AVR says our case was completed yesterday. :)
