I am really at the end of my patience. We get these stupid excuses as to why we that received our NOA1's in November and December have not yet received our NOA2's. It is just so hard to believe any excuse when you see people that received their NOA1 in January being approved. I am so happy for them because they will not have to go through the frustration we are going through, but it just doesn't seem right. And the excuse that we are not being approved because of the country our spouses are from is BS. I have seen others processed in shorter times from high terrorists countries. :bonk::bonk::bonk::bonk::bonk:

It really isn't about patience anymore. It is about having your hands tied behind your back and not knowing what the future will bring. I actually feel like I am waiting to see if the governor gives me a pardon or my life gets blown to bits.

It does kinda feel that way. Like the government here is deciding how our lives will turn out. As much as it sucks, that's exactly the way it is.

If we were complaining in the corporate world, something would be done. Complain to the gov't.....go into a pile in never-never land.

I have a vision of our files sitting on someone's kitchen table with jelly or syrup all over them or the dog is running around with them in his mouth. Scary thought but they do contract some of the files out to those who work at home.:help::help::help:

Some of it is dumb luck and some of it pertains to individual cases. I don't think if it were a corporation they would move any faster. When's the last time you complained about service anywhere and got satisfaction? Best thing you can do is prepare for the long haul and hope for something sooner.

The problem is we do not have any choice in the matter. The only choice we have is to leave our family, friends, our job, and give up everything we have and move to another country that will allow us to live with our spouses.

You may be right. Once again, depends on your case. If there's nothing that should cause you to be ultimately denied then it's simply a waiting game. Some people get through incredibly quickly while others linger sometimes for years. I remember the days of wondering and waiting and I know it's not fun. It's an unfortunate gamble we undertook when we married someone from another country. It's usually much easier to live in the foreign spouse's country but that's not always an option for everyone based on their personal circumstances.

Am I wrong or does Betsy sound like she thinks all us who marry people from other countries need to pay a price like giving up years of our lives or giving up all that we have because the government does not know how to figure out how to fix the immigration system. There is no reason that some should get approved in 30 days and some do not get approved for years. That is ridiculous.

But thank goodness there are other countries that will welcome me and my husband so we do not have to spend years in pain waiting on an application an application an application to be approved.

We are all equal in this country and we all have a right to marry anyone from anywhere and as long as they are not a terrorist bring them to this country. If it takes years to figure out if someone is a threat or a terrorists I think we are in big big big trouble in this country. Maybe that is why it took so long to find Bin Laden.

Maybe they used the same technology the immigration system is using.

Unreal!!!

Hmmm I never said that, but ok. We were just one of the lucky ones. I knew the score when I married my husband and that it was a risk that we might spend months or years apart. Sorry you are so bitter already. I fear you will be far more bitter once the process is over. What do you want people to say?? That we understand the mechanics of how the process works?? Don't think anyone on here can tell you that.

Sounds like you are the one bitter. Life not so great for you so you need to make everyone else feel there is no hope.

I and others like me have a right to be angry when we see people approved in 30 days and we have waited over 6 months. I am angry at incompetience. I am angry because I love my husband and he loves me and we miss each other very much. I have a wonderful life here in the United States and I would love to share it with him, but we will always be together no matter what. It is just ashame so many of us are hurting and you have no compassion for our heartache.
