Unless I don't get an interview until October, I'll be wearing jeans and a t-shirt. Not because I don't want to dress nicer, but because I don't have any nicer maternity clothes, and I can't afford to buy a new outfit for one day only. :P

I do agree you should try to wear something nicer than you normally would, though.

:ot: maternity clothes are expensive and most of them ugly, thats why when I was pregnant I use to buy 'regular' clothes just a size or two up..I think a nice dress or leggings and a tunic, some comfy sandals will work great for you.congrats on the baby and good luck :)

Haha, I only own jeans and t-shirts. XD Not going to buy extra clothes for one day only. I'm poor and a cheapass. :P I didn't even buy a wedding dress, because it's only for one day!

Married since 03/02/2011, AOS from F-1 visa, green card granted 05/24/2011.
Blessed with a healthy baby boy, 08/19/2011! We get to keep our family together! Thank you! smile.png

Guess I will go woth a suit, but no tie or pocket square (though this is part of my job application ensemble).

Possibly I should scale back on my watch and go with a Fossil...

Don't stress about it. All you need to know is that first impressions do make a difference - therefore, dress appropriate to the situation. Secondly, make sure that you are comfortable in your clothes - feeling like you are somebody else won't work in your favor. I think any other considerations are overrated and a needless waste of energy.

NushiCarter because I don't do well with heels :) I agree it's also about feeling comfortable but put together. By the time the interview comes around I could be so stressed I'll just wear anything that's clean ;) second hand stores have all kinds of clothes for cheap.

I wore black slacks, button-down shirt, pointed-toe medium-heel black pumps and black cardigan. This outfit is exactly what I wear to my job interviews as well. My husband wore black slacks, long sleeved button-down shirt and a tie. It was business casual. The outfit that our IO (male) was wearing was black slacks and rolled-up long sleeved buttoned-down shirt. I do not advice wearing jeans at all. I saw couples who were wearing jeans and sweater, I find them under-dressed.
