NOA2 question

I just got the NOA2 in the mail and I have a quick question. It says the petition has been approved and forwarded to the consulate. Does this mean it's already left NVC?

And just to be sure, I'm supposed to get the Manila case number by calling NVC?

Thanks all.

Sorry if these questions have already been answered.

Congratulations!, it means your case has been sent to NVC, you can call them for the mnl number, and they will send you a letter with the mnl number too, when you call you can ask if it has been sent to your embassy of choice yet, i hope this helps.

A couple more tips you may already know:

1: If you call the NVC do it real early or 15 minutes before the calling hours close to get through easier.

2: When you get the NVC letter disregard the part that says the packet will be sent to your fiancee. Go to the USEM website to download the packet: http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwh3224.html
