Lytha! Congrats! It's NOA1 though...not NAO..lol. I bet you are just excited that you got a reply back from the government! :)

It takes a couple days for you to be able to check your case status online. Check in a couple days, it should be updated by then.

In terms of the service center it will be printed on your offical I-797C form when it comes in the mail. It will also be shown online when you check your case status. Depending on which one you get access to first is when you will find out where your file/case is being processed at.

In the mean time I suggest you get NVC documents ready. You might have to get some of the doucments from your beneficary that you have applied for. My wife is working on some of the documents as we speak.

Here is the wiki to help guide you thru NVC. http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/LingChe_NVC_ShortCut

Typically if your case number begins with WAC it CSC (California Service Centre) if it's EAC it is VSC (Vermont).

Good luck on your journey!

Thank you sooo much! And yes, so excited I got a reply back, I can't even type anymore lol!

I'm the beneficiary, so I'll be sure to be prepared! My hubby is 'the worst case scenario' when it comes to paperwork, so I make sure to make everything ready for him lol! I allready got my birthcertificate and police record ready!

I wouldn't expect too much from the online case status system. In my case I waited about a month from NOA1 and it still didn't show up. I managed to get escalated to level 2 support and the guy there said he could see both of my petitions and they were correctly linked together (wife + stepdaughter). Miraculously about 3 weeks later they started to show up in the online system.

Either way it won't make your case go any quicker. It'll just give you something else to obsess about as the wait gets to you. :jest: Ask me how I know! You can now sleep at night safe in the knowledge that your check will be cashed and you'll have the privilege to sit in the file with the rest of us for 5 months. (Do I sound bitter yet? )

Good luck with your journey. The waiting can be hard.

Alex.

First three letters are the service center

WAC--California

EAC--Vermont

SRC--Texas

LIN--Nebraska

WAC! So I'll be in California!

Don't know if that's good or bad,,?! but we'll have to go with it lol
