FH called today to tell me that someone from the Embassy called him to tell him to come with his passport. Apparently his AP was completed yesterday and they'd been trying to contact him since yesterday. They were calling the number he had while he was in Dakar (as his mobile phone for Gambia didn't work outside of Gambia). They kept trying, then finally remembered that he'd also given them the number to his Gambia cell phone. When they called, of course he answered. He said the person that called was very excited to finally reach him and was happy to tell him the good news!

I'm so excited...hopefully he'll be here within the next week or so! :dance:

02/03/11 Received hard copy of NOA2 (although the envelope is stamped Feb 2...so only one day to get to me :) )

02/07/11 MADE APPOINTMENTS FOR MEDICAL AND INTERVIEW. (Will post actual dates after they occur :) )

02/08/11 Left NVC

02/17/11 Medical

03/01/11 Interview (FH is in AP)

04/12/11 AP COMPLETED!!

04/13/11 FH notified to come to the embassy with his passport!

04/26/11 FH received Visa

04/29/11 FH Arrived in the US!!! JFK POE

10-06-2010- Text & Email K-1 Rec'd by Texas Office (forward K-1 to VSC)

10-08-2010- BOA check cleared

10-12-2010- Rec'd NOA 1 (hardcopy) by Postal Service

10-14-2010- "Touched"

03-07-2011- 5 month mark/called USCIS for SRMT/told to callback 30 days later

03-07-2011- Emailed Senator Nelson

03-15-2011- Rec'd email from Senator/Release of Record Request

03-28-2011- Letter from Senator to give them 30-45 days to find out something

04-06-2011- 30 days expired/was told to give 25 more days

04-12-2011- Put in an Expedite Request "ONPT"

04-14-2011- Rec'd Email Notice of APPROVAL NOA2

04-25-2011- NVC rec'd case, NEW Case number given

04-26-2011- Senator sends me a letter "They found I am APPROVED" (no kidding)

Thank you all!!!! :dance: He leaves Gambia tomorrow. And hopefully they'll give him the visa on Tuesday then he'll be on his way to me. Yay!!!

01/24/11 - Returned to the states without my habibi :(

05/10/11 - Visa has been issued!!!
