The first time Evans went in December 2010, they wanted more evidence. March 31st of 2011,I was the evidence. The man seemed happy but then started asking about my ex-husband,his whereabouts. I didnt know exactly where just the state. I told the CO but I guess it wasnt enough. The Co said that he will expedite the information and have Evans return on the 13th of April 2011. I had made some calls myself and got whatever info I could of my EX. His address, phone number, if he is with someone or living with someone. I gave all the information to Evans and hopefully that is all needed and he will join me soon. Over all, I dont think that it has been a bad process but very tidious. What does my EX have to do with my present love and future husband? This I dont understand!!!!! The CO knew that I was leaving on the 11th, he could had done it for the week before. The CO had a smile on his face, like it was an approval but then the questions of the EX:

What is Aqua Finance? ( Ex-husband debt thats keeps being mailed to my house)

Where does your ex-husband live? ( Told him the state Arkansas didnt know the town)

How long have you been separated/ divorce? ( Separated since late 2007 final divorce 2009)

Does your husband know that he is divorced since he wasnt present? ( This is the reason I belive that he wants to know the whereabouts. Ex husband knows)

What more can or do they really need to know?

I'm sorry to hear that! As to why they've limited their concern to your ex is something that we cannot fully figure out. Hopefully his visa will be approved tomorrow.

Goodluck.

I think the questions about your ex are probably linked to when you met Evans (from your timeline it looks like you met in Feb 2009).

Hopefully it can all be sorted out.

Good luck!!!

We were denied. Evans is going to email me the papers. Evans believes that it was our age difference. Hmmm, I knew that would happen. Its ok for men to be older but women, its a difference story. Depends how much older. Does anyone have an idea of which way is better to go? Should we appeal or should I just try to go back this summer and marry him? Any and all ideas will help. We will appreciate any suggestions. The ex husband thing was a stall tactic and was very unfair. Thanks again :help:

I would wait to see what is on the denial papers before deciding what to do. If its something that you can appeal with evidence then its better to appeal. If not, then going there and marrying him may be the way to go. Have you checked out the returned petitions thread in the MENA forum? The ladies there may be able to give you more insight.

Sorry about all this.

I'm so sorry to hear that after all these months! But I'm sure you'll be able to overcome whatever the reason on which the denial is based. The information in the denial letter will act as a guide to action as to the next step. If it's about lack of documentations to prove a bonafide relationship, you can go ahead and marry instead of appealing. All the best and keep the love going! They can deny you, but can never end the relationship unless you both say it's the end.

So sorry to hear about your situation. I agree with you about the age difference and the challenges that face women if they are older than the man in relationships. It seems even in the 21 Century we, women can't get equal rights. If a man is much older it is not an issue, but a woman older that is a no no. Well, has anyone heard of freedom of choice? if the man or the woman is over 18 yrs. old they have a right to choose who they marry. I pray the reason they denied you is not the AGE DIFFERENCE, for that violates your constitutional rights. I would appeal if that is their reason for denial.

Best of luck and don't give up hope. God bless and keep us posted...please. Good luck!

Im so sorry to hear about your denial. See if you can get your states senator/congressman involved so they can do a congressional inquiry on your behalf. All the best.
