I started to file CR-1 for my hunsand in March 2010, however NSC has not complete my case until today. Things happened during the process of the case, I-30 with unclear answer and signature etc. I am 8-month pregnant, my due day is on June 13, 2011. I am so desperate and afraid that my husband will not be w. me when my baby is born. Is there anyway I can expedite my case? NSC has not send the case to the Guangzhou consulate yet. please help!

Pregnancy will not suffice an expedite process.

There is nothing you can do to expedite the case.

Are you talking about the NVC??? I'm assuming you meant I-130.

Impending birth does not qualify for expedite.

Hey Pung - did you mean NVC, and NOT NSC ?

IF NVC -

did you sign up for, OPT IN for, NVC Electronic Processing? (I assume YOU are the USCitizen, please correct me if I'm wrong?)

see (or have him see)

http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/NVC_Electronic_Processing

It'll shave off 2 to 5 months of 'dead zone wait time' between NVC and GUZ IV.

please fill in yer timeline here, so we can have a better idea of 'where you are' in the process, make pointed responses to your case.

I didn't really expect these so many reply, thx everyone. I see my case as on grounds of impending birth, I don't see any possibility that my husband will arrive in US on my due day. So it means that I request the expedite of my case later this month, right? The only support doc I have is doctor's due date confirmation letter. I filed my case in New York, all files are still in NVC, not sure which NVC.

uhm -

if the casefile is at NVC - what's the last thing you did at NVC?

Here's some possible options:

---

Time Ticks for Tracking - feel free to copy/paste this into yer profile/signature area/about me area:

NVC Received CaseFile *

NVC Casefile Number Issued *

Request DS-3032 Kit from NVC *

IIN received via email from NVC, as part of AOS Fee Bill EMAIL.

OPTIN EMAIL SENT TO NVC +

AOS FEE BILL PAID ONLINE &

AOS Fee Bill Marked Paid []

OPTIN ACCEPTED by NVC

AOS CoverSheets Generated &

IV Fee Bill Showing as 'Payable' []

IV FEE BILL PAID ONLINE &

IV Fee Bill marked as PAID []

IV CoverSheets Generated &

AOS email packet sent +

IV email packet sent +

NVC reports 'Case Completed' *

'Sign in Fail' at the Online Payment Portal &

Final Review Started at NVC *

Final Review Completed at NVC *

Interview Date Set *

Appointment Letter Received via Email

Interview Date

====

legend

* - USCitizen must call, inquire

+ - Your or foreign Spouse send off via email.

& - YOU do this.

[] - Online Payment Portal Status thingie - you log in, eyeball review it.

====

Things that go together -

OPT IN Accepted and IV Fee Bill Available to be Paid Online - almost the same date.

NVC Reports 'Case Complete' and 'Sign In Fail' - almost same day.

====

Things that make you go angly and aquiverish -

--Sign in Fail

--Final Review Complete (as Interview Date Set will occur within 6 days)

--Interview Date Set (time to get busy - you have between 20 to 45 days to wrap up yer relationship evidence)

====

A Note on Relationship Evidence for Guangzhou-bound petitions -

Please review this, send more if you must, during DS-230 submittal time -http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/267559-usa-is-now-arizona/page__view__findpost__p__4100571

---

BUT - if your casefile is still with USCIS (NOT NVC)

then you need to call USCIS, get a HUMAN, an ISO - see http://www.dhs.gov/xabout/structure/gc_1221837986181.shtm#5

and inquire for status. Sometimes ppl call USCIS call center the 'National Service Center' or NSC, but it's still USCIS, and NOT NVC, at all.

NVC processing is fairly involved - you send off the DS-3032, I-864, DS-230 plus many supporting documents. If these form numbers are unknown to you, then is good bet the casefile is still with USCIS, not at NVC at all.

ARE YOU A US CITIZEN, or a Permanent Resident ?

Yes, I am US citizen. My case is still in NVC, looks like the case is not completed yet, they asked me to send a new 864 and 2009 tax return again, and it takes 20 days for review those docs. Do I need to wait for the NVC case completion, then sign in for electronic process?

whoa.

stop a moment.

OPT IN to NVC Electronic Processing - now, tonight.

reread my wiki page about NVC Electronic Processing, also sign up and use the online payment portal (not part of EP, but it speeds things along)

EP OPT IN is done at the early stages of NVC processing.

IF you are in 'paper/postal' process now -

when you complete it

then the travel time from NVC TO Guangzhou IV Unit is between 2 to 5 months

and THEN

GUANGZHOU IV UNIT schedules the interview, 30 to 60 days out.

IF, INSTEAD, you OPT IN for NVC ELECTRONIC PROCESSING (NOW)

that 2 to 5 months is taken OUT - as NVC will schedule the interview once yer finished submitting the files into the EP system (via email) .

Stop a moment, take a big breath - you want to 'steer away' from further paper processing. IMO, paper/postal processing will delay things further, and EP will speed things along. IT IS POSSIBLE IF YOU START NOW with OPT IN for NVC ELECTRONIC PROCESSING -

you can have interview date scheduled sometime first week of may, to occur in JUNE 2011.

But you must stop paper processing now, shift/change to EP.

CALL NVC NOW (they are open till 23:59 EST) , get a human, tell them you are shifting to EP

FOLLOW MY WIKI GUIDE for all the steps and paperwork and stuff.

I PRAY YOU'VE NOT SENT OFF THE DS-230 and supporting civil documents on yer husband, yet. (Please confirm that, or my plans for you go wonky)

Yes, my lawyer asked me to fill out the DS-230, and he did send that to NVC, now NVC still miss the completion of question 30 on DS-230. WHAT SHOULD I DO? Do I still call NVC to shift to EP? what about the paper documents that sent by my lawyer? Do I need to start all over again by email all scaning doc?
