I went to vote during this past presidential election. The people that work at the elections are a bunch of little old ladies. I walked to the the first table and the lady looked my name up in a book. The old lady sitting next to her asked me why I wore the scarf. I told her that I was Muslim. She said is your husband Muslim. I said yes. and she said very loudly, "Is he a terrorist?" I said, certainly not! and turned around to go vote. I was fuming. I thought about reporting her, but I just let it go.

You should have replied, Yep he sure is and then walked off. I had a child at school ask me if my husband was a terrorist and before I could answer another child said, " why you ask such stupid questions?" Then all the other children laughed and I just answered there are no stupid questions and no he is not a terrorist. And all the children then just kept quiet afterwards.

Please relax. The IO will sense your anxiety and wonder why you're so anxious. Honestly, there's nothing to be anxious about. AOS interviews aren't that bad especially if you have nothing to hide.

Hey guys! It's been like a year since I've been on here! We are done with all of the AOS stuff and awaiting the INS stuff here in a few months. Well, I just wanted to say hello and I have only an idea of who a small part of you are. I've been gone for so long...those of you who are in contact with me daily I can recognize from your stories or usernames. The others I have no idea about! I hope to get to visit more often.

Off for two days. Adam just started for the first time everrrr... working 530am to 330pm shift at his job. He's never worked day shifts and now he's getting up at 330am. I woke up with him this morning to make him some breakfast and I cant go back to sleep. Im not feeling well at all. Thankfully my dog stopped barking bcz it was driving me nuts at 430am.

Just wanted everyone to see what we survived on Wednesday. Many people dead, injured and missing. We had 3 tornado warnings on Wed. Three times we rushed to the community tornado shelter across the highway. The second warning was the worst. After we got to the shelter we turned and watched a tornado jump our street and and head north east. It got so bad and we rushed in at the last minute and shut the door. There are 2 shelters side by side and they were just about full. Just a few minutes went by and we came out.. People started getting phone calls that the tornado touched down again just 3 miles up the highway. It followed the highway into the little town of Smithville MS and totally wiped it off the map. I have never seen anything like it and I was terrified. When we went home my neighbors house was cut in two by a huge oak tree. I have some shingle damage and that's all. This was such a close call. The tornado was on the ground and came off a big hill just south west of us. It jumped the waterway and our street of houses. It is reported to be a F4 possibly an F5.

On a better note, Hachemi passed his citizenship interview yesterday. We will now wait for the letter about the oath. Hard to celebrate with so much sadness in our community.

Video I made with my cell phone, just seconds before jumping in the shelter. You can hear Hachemi talking with his southern slang. He says " It's bad, Ain't it?" Our house is just behind that row of trees.
