Time between NOA1 and biometrics appointment letter?

Was just wondering what other people's experience has been with the amount of time between their NOA1 and the letter with the biometrics appointment?

Our NOA1 was sent to your lawyer, but we never received a copy so I worry that they still have our old address on file (even though I updated my address online, sent a copy to USCIS and have our current address on the I-751 petition).

I'm concerned that the biometrics letter got "lost in the mail" also. How bad would it be if I missed the biometrics appointment?!?!?

I-751 petition sent 2-18

NOA1 dated 3-07 recieved 3-14 (at lawyer's office, we never got one at our address)

Biometrics ????

You can look at our timeline, our experience has been smooth so far of course without a lawyer, everything comes to us, and you should have a copy of your NOA1 cause it explains that your GC is extended to one year and your biometrics should arrive within 30 days from the date you received your NOA1 after that to contact them.

If you miss your biometrics appointment, your case will be considered abandoned. Why did you use a lawyer for? if you don;t mind me asking.

If 30 days has passed since you received your NOA1 and still don't have your biometrics letter, contact your lawyer or USCIS, whichever you prefer.

I think I will call them today then, since our NOA1 was dated 32 days ago and still no biometrics notice.

We used a lawyer for a couple of reasons. Our case had some twists from the beginning... me and my husband met while I was on a TN work visa, we fell in love & I overstayed my work visa:( I also got a DUI a few years ago (I'm still disgusted with mysself about that). We worried the overstay and the DUI would cause some hiccups. So I went back to Canada and we got a recommendation from a friend for an immigration lawyer that she had used. The lawyer was so helpful and helped explain the proccess to us. So, for every petition since the original K-1, we've gone back.

For the I-751 my husband and I talked about going it alone, but for our peace of mind, we decided to use the lawyer again.

Is this true??? We have been having problems getting anything in the mail from them and I believe we have missed or will soon miss the biometrics.
