Calculate the Expected Timeline between NOA1 & NOA2

Hi Everyone,

Everyone who has waited between their NOA1 & NOA2 know these feelings: Frustration, anxiety, hope, fear, anger (not nececaccerly in that order!). However, the most important question that we have is a simple one: how long before our files get touched & approved? I know the official timeline says 5 months, but I think, together we can narrowed it down much further. Here is how:

If priority date is in the first week of the month, then let us know when & where you had your NOA2 approved. For example, recently some of you whose priority date was the beginning of Novemeber, got their approval. Also please also mention where your case was transferred to, such as California, Vermont, Nebraska, or Texas. Please it will give us an idea, how long before our case gets approved. Thanks.

Actually, this is already available here on VJ...it's called Igor's List and it's here:

It comes from the timelines that people fill out. So please fill out yours to make the estimates better.

BTW, another benefit of filling our your timeline is that it will give you an estimate, based on other timelines that are similar to your, on when you will get thru USCIS. It's not terribly accurate, but it's a decent ballpark.

Hi Rock -- My priority date is Feb 7th, being process by Vermont center and my country is Guyana. I'm the USC petitioner.

The other timeline only shows California (which doesn't help me).

Got married: Dec. 3rd, 2011

USCIS:

01/28/12 - I-130 Application filed and sent

02/07/12 - I-130 NOA1 Received neither email nor text.

07/12/12 - Received NOA2

NVC:

08/02/12 - Case number received

08/06/12 - Invoice ID Received

08/09/12 - Aos bill & Ds-3032 received

08/09/12 - AOS bill Paid

08/13/12 - Ds-3032 Accepted

08/15/12 - IV Bill received

08/15/12 - IV bill paid

08/23/12 - Case Completed

09/14/12 - Interview date:10/17/12

09/14/12 - checklist received

04/11/2012 - Informed of interview via phone by DOS/ Got P4 email from NVC a few hours later that same day (May 4th)

05/04/2012 - Interview (APPROVED)
05/10/2012 - Visa ready and picked up at domex
05/15/2012 - POE in Boston (together)

05/29/2012 - Went to SS office to apply for SS card
06/01/2012 - Welcome letter arrived (Received about 3 of these)
06/05/2012 - Green card arrived
06/15/2012- Back to SS office with green card to reapply and inquire about delay
06/18/2012 - Picked up SSN at SSA office
06/22/2012 - SS card arrived by mail

04/24/14 - Sent I-751 to remove conditions

06/09/14 - Biometrics

11/2014 - RFE from USCIS requesting more evidence before approval

Late Jan - Sent further evidence of marriage

03/05/2015 - Got letter of approval for removal of conditions

03/15/2015 - Permanent 10 yr green card received via mail

If you're referring to Igor's List, just click on the drop down menu and select the Vermont Service Center, click the Submit button, and you'll see your info :yes:

March 26, 2009: We become a couple!
September 10, 2009: Arrived for first meeting in-person!
June 17, 2010: Arrived for second in-person meeting and start of travel together to other areas of China!
June 21, 2010: Engaged!!!
September 1, 2010: Switched course from K1 to CR-1
December 8, 2010: Wedding date set; it will be on February 18, 2011!
February 9, 2011: Depart for China
February 11, 2011: Registered for marriage in Wuhan, officially married!!!
February 18, 2011: Wedding ceremony in Shiyan!!!
April 22, 2011: Mailed I-130 to Chicago

December 18, 2023:  Filed I-90 to renew Green Card

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal
