I have seen this once before in the last 3 months on these forums but this step (Card/Document Production) doesn't fit into the steps of what you're attempting to do if you've submitted an I129f to be able to apply for a K1.

This might be a good time to call the USCIS?

Just yesterday my fiance went to to field office ( we made an appointmet via infopass) to get some update and to try to find out if we can have the interview in Dublin when the time comes...instead of Poland where I'm from ( i live in Dublin)...and today this all of a sudden......I'm thinking they probably just made the decision in regards to our request for a consulate preferance...My fiance is talking to USCIS now....

It have crossed our minds, but the officer at the USCIS said taht if it was a RFE it would have said it's a request for evidence..not card/document production.... so we're thinking.....what do they say if they deny it? I want to be prepared for the worst scenario...

ask a specific question: has the case been forwarded to the NVC?

I suspect a wrong key was hit in the approval. Or the fiance tripped something up when she went into the embassy.

May just be an RFE, but looks more like a generic approval from another petition type. They could be mailing you documents or RFE. But normally these are approvals when there is an I-130 involved.

They're just not helpful, eh?

Well, in any case, I seriously doubt it's a 'denial' because those usually come after RFEs have been traded back and forth - don't panic. To me it looks like it either A) should've been an approval that was mis-keyed like someone mentioned above (because "card production" never happens for I129f petitions but it does for other kinds) or B) it's someone else's card approval that was mistakenly associated with your case number. It's very dumb that the USCIS, who takes care of these petitions, won't take a look at your file and see that the error is on their end and making you wait for the mail is a waste of time.

Well, my fiance called USCIS 3 times :) He's on top of it! :) All three officers told him the same, wait and see what you get in your mail, saying they couldn't check...isn't that annoying...maybe we'll bug them tomorrow again :) Until they finally know sth!

i read on USCIS site that sometimes there's a bug on the site so when u make status check there's a problem... maybe that's the reason why...:unsure:^_^

Might be sth like that. At first I was checking the status online and it said card/document production as well. But after few minutes I tried again and an error page pops up...probably a bug...fingers crossed for a approval though :)

Well, my fiance (he:)), went to the field office in Santa Ana and tried to change the consulate preference in his I-129f...he might have triggered sth...we also mailed them a letter asking for a consulate change on the petition, hoping we could get it changed while still in "waiting for NOA2" phase. I hope that what you suspect is right- wrong key hit in the approval, however how could that be since there's no such option in I-129f as card/document production. My fiance called USCIS 3 times yesterday and talked to 3 different officers, all of them told him to wait for what comes in mail, at the same time all 3 of them said,l it is definitelly not an RFE.

I just hope we get sth in mail soon... thanks for the advice though, I think you're right, that's what we should ask, if it was sent to NVC yet... I guess my fiance will call again in couple days and ask if it was sent to NVC or not, thanks a mill!
