This is your NOA1. It is simply the very beginning of your process. NOA1 is the receipt of your application. Now you must patiently wait for your NOA2, the approval of the I-129F application. We just got ours today after 6 months and 1 day. It appears that California is about 30 days ahead of Vermont right now, but that can all change. I hope you guys do not have to wait as long as we, or others have. Good Luck with the rest of your process and use this time to be well prepared when it comes your turn for what lies ahead of you after you get your NOA2.

We got our txt as well today felya & olya. I wasn't sure either so now it's a waiting game till our NOA2. What's the fastest it has been issued? 6 months is a long time

The average waiting time now is 5 months between NOA1 and NOA2 for both the service centers (slightly longer for the Vermont center if I don't get wrong). Let's stay positive though =)

The text/email is just a notice from your G-1145 (E-Notification). Your "actual" NOA1 (I-797C, Notice of Action) will come in the mail.

As for how fast its goes between NOA1 and NOA2, some have recently gone as fast as 1 month, but the normal processing time is 5-7 months.

I hope its faster so it works out with our wedding dates we have set.

So getting the NOA1 (I-797C, Notice of Action) in the mail, is there still a chance of getting a RFE ?

Yes, the NOA1 is just a way of telling you "ok we got your petition, now we're going to look at it sometime this year" (lol x_x)

You can get a RFE anytime from now. But don't worry too much about it. Relax and let time pass :thumbs:
