active forum and my thread was lost quickly so this is my second time trying to ask.

I am using a co-sponsor, my mother.

I do not live with my mother.

I fill out an I-864 but does she fill out I-864 or I-864A, since we are not in the same household it would seem an I-864, not I-864A but maybe we need to say same household for processing reasons?

The instructions for I-864 seem to indicate that the I-864, not the I-864A would be appropriate for my mother to fill out..

which one is correct? i don't want an RFE, this has been too long a process already..

Thank you.

Def. your mom needs to fill out the I-864. Only a household member fills out the I-864A and since you and your mom have different addresses she needs to Fill out the regular I-864. Good Luck.
