Hi.

I am getting the AOS paperwork together and have found that I can't find my NOA2 anywhere. looking back I believe that I sent the original copy in after 129F was approved. I know that this is absolutely ridiculous of me to have done, I'm not sure what I was thinking at the time. I am assuming that the original was taken along with lots of other documentation when my husband went through the first POE.

That's done, and now I need a new copy. I have been attempting to find other things to send in. Some people have said they sent in their NVC letter or print out of online process of I129f saying it was approved.

WHAT can I do? I feel like there should be another way to go about this than waiting up to 6 months for a piece of paper to be mailed to me. is there not an electronic way of doing this? and if not when the heck will there be?

PLEASE help, I am hoping there is SOMETHING I can do to fix this error.

Thank you I'd appreciate any input at all good or bad.

Will getting a I-129F take 6 months, really? What a shame... I know that there is a fee to get another one sent to you. I have not heard anyone sending their package without a copy of the I-129F, but I'm sure someone can pop in and share their experience. You didn't make a copy for the K-1 interview or anything? I would send the copy, if you do have one, and get the original sent to you while your AOS is being processed. Better safe than sorry! Hope you find it, good luck!

As I told you in PM I have heard of many people who've lost the NOA2 and simply sent the NVC letter as proof of petition approval. It's obviously not the best option but you can't help it. I wouldn't apply for the NOA2 copy.. I think it's ridiculous personally, to charge so much for something that you're just going to photocopy and send in and then file away until you're able to throw out all your immigration stuff (I believe that's 3 years after being a USC... but I'll probably store mine for forever).
