We just spent like an hour filling in the DS-156, and when he clicked "CONTINUE" as the form said we needed to do, nothing happened. So, I hit continue from a blank form and it took me to a PDF version that did generate a bar code. My question is, Are you supposed to hit continue and generate a bar code, then print it and then fill it in? I don't see any other way of doing it otherwise.

Thanks for your help.

The information typed in is encrypted into the barcode so hand filling wouldn't generate your information.
