I called NVC yesterday and was advised our case is under additional processing. really? ugh!!!! I called back once and all the second person would tell me is it hasn't been sent to the consulate yet. So just call everyday now or should I just wait until I receive something?....

Sorry to hear that. Hopefully this additional processing will be short. Calling everyday sounds like a path to frustration. It won't hurt anything even if you miss the day when it actually gets sent. When I got the letter from NVC it didn't say they sent it, it just said they'll be sending it in the next two weeks, but it turned out the sent it a day before they mailed the letter. I don't know, for me it would just be easier to not think about it and just call a week or so later when the itch to call them must be scratched! Good luck!

I'd call them in the end of this week, and then only in the middle of next week. But as Looky said, calling everyday leads to frustration (I know right), so try to relax Jacque, I'm sure it won't be too long from now on to have good news

You are so right but airline rickets have gone up 75 dollars each way for early October to Bogota for me in the last two weeks... so $225 more total so far. The sooner I know the better

Hmmm...is there a reason that demand is picking up to go to Columbia? Maybe some sort of festival or holidays or something?

We have Halloween here but somehow I don't think that holiday hikes up airplane tickets.

I think the main reason is just timing.. although I noticed October was showing as more expensive that September for most days (lots of sales for September). I think there was a slight run on tickets to avoid the impending adding back of the FAA taxes (the tickets could be bought for anytime and not pay taxes) and then some other airlines raised rates when the taxes went back into effect even though they never lowered prices when they were removed a few weeks back..

Who knows the high prices might scare people away and the October tickets will have some good sales like Septembers has and I can snag a sale... Probably not!

One thing I've found in my booking of flights is that the closer you get to Christmas and New Years the more expensive it seems to get.

I'm counting the days down, can't waiiiiit til I hug my honey again, can't waiiiit for the time of our lives! I've been planning so many things for the wedding, trying to think about the decoration and all, anyone else doing this???

soon 33 days til interview, hell yeah! . I'm extremely excited today, tomorrow I'll pick up my packet 4 at the post office, if it's not raining like crazy.

She is doing the medical tomorrow and will fax in the pkt 3 response hopefully by early next week, once she receive the express mail pkg I sent her.
