Phone and text records only

Hi everyone,

I have just read about an RFE to provide skype and email chat records. We do not have any chat nor skype records - given the hours being so out of synch on this side of the world. However we do have daily telephone and text records - more than one hour on the phone on some days. Is this adequate evidence of keeping in touch? I'd hate to start skype chats just for the purpose. Are phone records and the odd email acceptable or are we setting up ourselves to be RFE'd? Thanks in advance.

Generally, some CO's are tougher, some consulates tougher to prove relationships, and it really depends on your visa path too. Fiancee' is tougher to prove because you don't have a marriage contract to plop down for them. So it depends on your situation. Best answer I can give since I don't know any info on your situation. Best of luck

Thanks for that. My timeline isn't due for logging yet. Proposed to USC girlfriend in Dec 10, marriage is planned for April 11, and filing for CR-1 in May/June 11.

Congrats!!! May you have a long, happy, healthy life together. Best wishes from me and the wife! (skype really is the way to go if you can swing it. I'm up at 3am to chat with the wife. It's good to see their face when you chat. Helps with the missing part!) you'll get used to it....it'll be worth it.

Why are you worrying about something you have not even started yet. You don't have to have Skype at all. We only used Yahoo and where is your partner in the states? The time difference is not that difficult to find chat time. US evening is OZ morning and visa versa. Once daylight saving starts it is even less time difference. Your calls and emails are fine. When we did K1 we never had to produce any of that as I am from OZ too.

Divorced !st November 2012.

Married only 2 years 1 month

I would like to point out a nifty little program called the Yahoo Message Archive Decoder to those of you who disable the message archiving feature on Yahoo Instant Messenger or those of you who keep a very clean hard drive.

My husband and I were worried about not having chat records and after running the program, I pulled up close to 1000 pages of chat for the last 2 months. I have YIM archiving OFF and it was still found! He'll be taking a USB key of the chat file just in case we are questioned.

Apologies if I state in a comment that my husband and I have been together for years & years. It's just that I can hardly remember a time when he and I were not together.

Ahhhhhhhhhh!!! We are currently in Administrative Processing with no time-lines to guide us!

My husband is looking at cars in Trinidad for me as his wish has come true! Me a Trini-Wife!

BUT

I will call DoS weekly to check the progress and I will not give up hope.

July of 2011 is the cut off date for us, when I will either start construction on a home here in the US or return to Trinidad to be with my husband.

Don't worry about things like that. I don't think Australia is considered a "high risk" country (or whatever it's called) RFEs like that I would assume, would be because there was some sort of red flag. Good luck on your journey ;)
