My husband will be filing I-130 and I will be filing I-485 along with the requirements needed, My husband is a US Citizen and have a US Citizen daughter from a previous relationship, my husband and I been married for more than 2 yrs, I overstayed my h4 visa since 2002 I do not have an ID or a SSN, I never work since thats what stated in my visa that I cannot work so I followed all the rules and my background is clean. My husband and my daughter are on a welfare but not me although my daughter been recieving welfare since she was born its under my name since she is a minor but I dont get any cash or food stamps just my husband and my daughter. Can anyone please give me advice on what to look forward too during the interview? Should I get a lawyer, am I get sent back? We went to a few immigration lawyer saying my case was very easy, But i would also love to hear others experience if you have any please share thanks.

My big question here since your spouse and child are on welfare is who is going to sponsor you? AOS is pretty expensive and you will need a sponsor that meets the poverty guidelines.

I wouldn't file anything until you have a sponsor. I don't think your husbands I-130 will be approved if he's on welfare without a sponsor.

We have a joint sponsor since his income does not meet the poverty guideline he just recently started a job, what am I looking forward to the interview?
