No I don't write :( I wish I could. I am the MASTER at writing academic papers...i've been in grad school for about three degrees now...but CREATIVE writing? I'm stuck.

Maybe I'll pay someone else to write our story! Ha!

Finally finished with immigration in 2012!

But I worry about losing face or disappointing her family. I do not want to do that.

How could you lose face or dissapoint her family, when you've already gone to Europe twice to see her and will do so again by going to Vietnam to meet the family, then pay to bring her over to be with you and afterwards go on a honeymoon?

I mean, if none of the above have by now convinced her family of the unconditional love you have for your fiance, I can't see how a ring will. On the other hand, she is the one you needed to convince, which you have already accomplished successfully, based on her asking you not to buy her a ring.

Hell; you even convinced me!

Buy a beautiful gold ring with a gigantic cubic zirconia in it and don't tell her it's not a diamond. She will not know in a million years and if she is so concerned that it matters and she goes to a jeweler to appraise your love and is disappointed and leaves you, you're better off without her anyway. Why not spend a few hundred instead of a few thousand for something that looks just as great in every way, but to a jeweler actually looks better because it is flawless?...hmm, I should have done that myself!

Here is what I had in mind. It's basically a super duper weddings band, but that is perfect since Anh does not want two rings. This will blow her mind. And it will not cost me 4 grand. Less than 2 grand, actually.

Loved that style and I think she will like it for sure. Phuong Anh sounds very sweet, caring and understanding.
