So it's been four months after the interview in cairo and we still have not received his visa, we've e-mailed, wrote letters made phone calls, went to the congressman's office and still nothing. . . is this normal? what do i do? HELP!!!!

You're probably under AP but the embassy should tell you so, did they give you any information ?

Well with the Embassy working with a skeleton crew, it makes it harder for you right now. I hope they will get back up and running soon. What was the outcome of the interview.....did you get AP? Keep us posted but I do know there are a few couples from Egypt in the same situation right now. Try being a good support to each other now. If you need to talk or vent just let me know....

What type of response are you getting back from them? Did they tell you he was in AP? My fiance had his interview 6 weeks ago and was put into AP, everytime I email them they respond by the next day, and they responded to my senator immediately when she made an inquiry for me.

You can call DOS (sorry forgot the number but someone will have post it) and inquire about the case. They can't tell you much but at least you will know if it is under AP or due to problems with embassy staffing or what. Hang in there honey, the wait is well worth it.

With everything that's occuring over there right now things have probably slowed up even more. However, they should have at least told you the status of the case. At the very least they should have told you that you are under administrative processing. It is a very frustrating thing to just go through each day not knowing and wondering what's happening with your case. I'm going through the same thing with hubby as his waiver is being sent of to DHS to be reviewed. I pray that everything will work out for all of us. I find some encouragement in the fact that I'm not the only one in the world going through a similar situation or a situation even worse than mine for that fact. So hang in there.
