K-2 Traveling without K-1 ?

Hi Vjers,

I am filing for the K-1 and K-2 at the same time. Can my 9 year old son (K-2) fly and pass through POE without the K-1 accompanying him? He will travel a few months after my fiance arrives and will be escorted by another family member.

I am trying to determine if the K-2 can fly without the K-1 or if the K-1 MUST accompany him through POE. The K-2 does have his own passport.

Depends. If the K-2 has their own passport there is no US restriction to it. Check laws in the country they are coming from.

Only entry requirement is that the K-1 MUST enter before or at the same time as the K-2.
