ANY GOOD NEWS FOR OCTOBER FILERS (VSC)?

we applied for k-1 visa in september 2010..... but not recieved NOA2 as yet....

Got NOA1 on Sept. 24th 2010 and still waiting for NOA2. Called yesterday to request ONPT review (over 5 months) and they said that VSC was now working on petitions with August 21st receipt date and I could not request ONPT review until the USCIS computer system was showing that they were working on petitions post Sept. 24th 2010. I have no idea where the graphical data is coming from that is posted here on VJ. Are you enjoying your visa journey yet?

Keep calling, I received the same answer until I reached someone that really seemed to care. Once you are outside the five months you deserve a service request.

I only told them the total days like 5 months and 15 days so I am outside the window.

On the third call that I made I talked to some one that said yes and entered the service request.

Each time you talk to them be sure to write down their id number and name make them repeat it until you have it right and read it back to them. They do not mind and it shows you know what the system better.

I never reached the tier two that I have read about but just called every day or every other day on the third call I was granted a service request.

One thing I have learned on visajourney is that when a petition is approved relatively quickly, some sort of deity always gets the credit!

But if the petition is slow and behind schedule, then its always USCIS that gets the blame!!!
