I130 approved, but still not at National Visa Center

My husband’s I130 and I129f were both approved 1.14.2011 and I received my letters stating both case were being forwarded to National Visa Center, but they still don’t have it as of today. I’ve scanned my letters and sent them to the NVC research email but still nothing.

How long does it take for them to get the paper work at least? Am I looking at probably still a whole another year before my husband can come and that’s if I’m lucky? I wonder what good it is to be born an American it doesn’t seem to have any benefits at all.

I’m just so frustrated already with all this and no one can give you an answer when you call. :help::help::help::help::help:

If your petition were approved more than a month ago, they are at NVC now. Just call them. The I-129F will have been administratively closed, so follow the IR1/CR1 guide for what to do next. K3 is no longer available.

Also, please update your profile. Obviously you did not file DCF if your I-130 was ever in Texas.

assume you are a USC Spouse -

you can call into NVC, check the AVR anytime with your USCIS receipt number.

WHEN YOU GET BACK the NVC casenumber, NVC not only has it, but they've opened the casefile.

WHEN YOU HAVE THE NVC CASENUMBER, call back, get a human, rock and roll with http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/221785-ds-3032-slowdown/page__view__findpost__p__3560467

NB - if the petitioner is not a US Citizen , expect a wait. IF you became a USCitizen whilst the paperwork was at USCIS, you'll have to jump start the process at NVC, call in, get a human, tell them you just got yer USCitizenship - they'll tell you the process for 'proving up' yer citizenship status.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

You and I were approved on the exact same day and I have the same problem! Mine was sent to CSC by mistake so maybe all that were approved on 1/14 were sent there!

Did you also not get a USCIS email stating that your petition was approved until 1/19/11?...

Thousands of I-130 petitions were mishandled by TSC, due to "unforeseen circumstances". My I-130 was approved on 11/23, but did not reach the NVC for 80 days!! Hang in there until the end of this month. USCIS is trying to clean up their mess by the end of February (according to their press release).

NATURALIZATION

02/25/2014 - Eligibility date.

03/03/2014 - N-400 package mailed.

03/11/2014 - Check cashed.

03/14/2014 - NOA received.

04/09/2014 - Biometrics.

04/28/2014 - In-Line for Interview - 6 hours later Interview Scheduled!!

05/02/2014 - Interview Letter received. (Mailed on 29 April)

05/26/2014 - 3 year anniversary.

06/02/2014 - Interview. PASSED!

09/11/2014 - Oath Ceremony.

09/16/2014 - Updated driver licence and registered to vote.

10/08/2014 - Updated Social Security

10/14/2014 - Applied for U.S. Passport

10/27/2014 - U.S. Passport arrived in mail (13 days - DID NOT expedite)
