From what I have been able to find doing some research:

"Judgment of Divorce" means the final verdict by the judge for the annulment of marriage.

"Divorce Decree / Record of Divorce" is the decree granted by the court for the annulment or divorce is recorded by the clerk in the court records.

I think I suggested yesterday that rather than trying to argue that the document you have is the right one, you would be better off spending this time just going to the courthouse and requesting a Certified Copy of the Divorce Decree. This should be available at the courthouse where your divorce was heard. It should take you less than two hours (including waiting in line and getting through security) to have this done and over with.

You will have to pay a fee for the document, and an additional fee to get it certified.

Go to the county building were the divorce was finalzed and ask for a certified copy of your divorce decree. This document will have a stamp on it that it is certified and will be a full copy of the divorce proceedings. This is what you need.

Right, A very common mistake that many filers make. All they need is the very first page that says the date of the final judgement and court certify with a stamp usually less than $10.without the stamp u will be RFED.

Since we are on the subject, The USCIS is not interested in the whole divorce package, are they? I suppose that they just need to verify that you are avail. to remarry, right?
