If everything goes as planed i will send our Affidavit of Support Package in 2 weeks from now.

Currently i make 13 $ per hour .

I have this job since november 2010 (last year).

In 2007,2008,2009 my TAX return trascripts shows i made + 40.000 $ each year.

BUT....

Last year (2010) i made only 10.000 $ (i didnt work for 6 months) and i just did my tax return yesterday for 2010.

Now i dont know what to do! Should i send my tax transcripts from 2007,2008,2009 + employment leter from my current job AND SKIP MY 2010 TAX RETURN?

Is that OK?

I am affraid that if i include 2010 tax return it can rise red flag, and anyway it will take approx one moth from IRS to send me statement taht my 2010 return is excepted.

Any toughts?

thx

I wouldn't skip a year especially the most recent one.. Send everything and your current paystubs and employment letter... :)

My Journey:

We met through a study-abroad program in Shanghai, China in August of 2009

We got engaged March of 2010

I received my K1 VISA in 6 months (June-December 2010)

We were married 04/02/2011
I received my conditional 2-year greencard (AOS) in 2.5 months with no interview (April-June 2011)

Our son was born 02/03/2013

I received my masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology 04/17/2013

I received my 10-year greencard (ROC) in 3 months with no interview (March-June 2013)

My husband returned from deployment 06/20/2013

My naturalization journey took 4 months (April-August 2014)

I became a US citizen on 08/01/2014

Received passport in 3 weeks (regular processing)

Thank you, VJ! smile.png

It is the most recent year they want to see the most. Make sure you have paycheck stubs and a letter from your employer to show that you are making enough money now.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

thx for your response guys!

But what would be case if i didnt do my 2010 tax year yet? As you know we have time to do it untill april and also we can ask for extension of that!

Is NVC asking for LAST YEAR or RECENT YEAR TAX FORM??

Thats a big difference!

Your taxes are already due, and they expect you to be in a rush to get your spouse here. Historically they have start demanding the current year be done about the beginning of March. If I were you I wouldn't delay filing , they can and will hold up things if they decide that they want 2010 taxes done.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

You will be fine sending in your 07,08, 09 tax statements. 2010 statements don't have to be filed until mid-april. I did exactly that though my reasons were I always wait till the last moment to do the tax thing. At the interview make sure you (your spouse) carries your most recent tax form (2010) and some pay stubs since I was asked for mine at my wife's interview (but the interview was in late December). Good luck and don't worry about it.

May love and laughter light your days,
and warm your heart and home.
May good and faithful friends be yours,
wherever you may roam.
May peace and plenty bless your world
with joy that long endures.
May all life's passing seasons
bring the best to you and yours!
