(41) Days no bio appointment!!! HELP!

It has been (41) days now since we received a NOA1 notice pertaining to our EAD form. We have not received any information regarding a biometrics appointment. Additionally, our AOS I-485 just got transferred to the CSC on February 08, 2011. We just received a transfer notice for the AOS I-485 in the mail yesterday. However, again, no information with reference to the bio appointment. My questions is should I call the USCIS concerning no bio appointment as of yet? Thanks!

Yes, It took me over 60 days. From Nov 30th till Feb 8th to get my Biometrics letter. I understand what you are going through, especially when you see some ppl who applied after you get thier appointment. But there is not much you can do. You can call the number, but they will simply tell you they will get back to you in 30 days.

Normal processing times for EAD is 3 months, not 1 month or 60 days and such. No point calling USCIS unless ou are out of normal processing times and it looks like you are not.

I agree with the above comments. You're still well within the current time frame for EAD (around 3 months).

When you do get your bio letter, they usually give you 2-4 weeks notice for the appointment. And then after the bio appointment you generally get your card fairly quickly. I had my bio appointment and then had the EAD in my hand within 2 weeks.

It sucks waiting, but don't stress yet, you're still on track to get your EAD within the given time frames.

I was waiting on a bio appointment for removing conditions. Almost everybody doing ROC was getting those in a short time. So after 30 days, I called and put in a service request. That was about 10 days ago. The bio appt notice was generated within 2 days and arrived in a week, even though they said wait 30 days for a reply. They also replied to the service request in a letter that arrived the same day. Same thing for another Houston couple who called last week. (I think Houston is busy.) I don't know if it was coincidence or not, but it's a free call.
