This is why USCIS has Info-Pass appointments, Schedule one, visit the field office and talk with an officer, bring evidence like birth cert and things showing correct spellings.

Don't worry about the UNKNOWN part, it happens quite frequently. I posted asking the same question and people who had already received their NOA2's had stated that they went trough the same thing. As for the name, take care of that ASAP. Good luck!

First you need to calm down. It is not a big deal. Maybe your writing was not legible enough for them to see. Just call them during their office hours (8am to 8pm) and give them your receipt number, identify yourself properly and tell them about the mistakes. They will correct it or tell you what proper steps to take to get it corrected.

We had the same thing. Fiance called USCIS 800 number, they sent an email stating it was all clarified and that they were sorry for the inconvenience.

Its really not a big problem.
